4 Words That Make People Buy

Magicwordsthatsell

If you haven’t realized by now, then you’re either one of those people who is unaffected by words, or you’re naive.

WORDS have power in them that can make people either run away from you or run towards you.

And you’re a business person so you want people running towards you. Particularly buyers!

Now depending on who’s doing the running in which direction this may be a good thing or a bad thing. (for another topic). People who are not going to bring any value to your life you’re probably better without them.

People who will bring great value to your life – you want to be around them and they probably want to be around you. If you bring value to other people they will definitely want to be around you.

Anyway!

But before they even know that you have value there are four words that will compel them to either buy or stick around in order to buy.

Why do I say this because there’s a psychology in marketing that pushes people’s buttons to give a response one way or another.

These four words that I’m going to be sharing with you below, generally evoke a response in people to “buy” whatever it is you’re selling them.

When we say buy we don’t only mean credit card in hand and making a purchase. That’s a great use of the word buy. But when we say buy we also mean buy in; as in they take your side.

They say, “Pick me!”

They agree to go along for the ride……

So what are these MAGIC words. Well I’m sure you know this first one and probably the third but we’re going

  1. Free

  2. “How to”

  3. Easy

  4. Introducing

Alright so let’s talk about FREE

free

FREE

Everyone likes something for free. Even if it is your time you’re giving away, people want FREE stuff!.

Whether we accept the fact or not that NOTHING is truly Free, just using that word makes people response.

Think about it…… “Buy one get one Free”

I’ve gone into many stores with no intention of buying certain items but because I’m getting one FREE I grab the item and rush to the cashier!

So Free is a powerful motivator for people to buy into whatever you’re offering.

Our Second Magic Word – “How to”

People by nature want to learn. The less confused they are about what they’re doing the better they’re going to feel.

It takes a really Lazy person to not respond to the words “How to”.

So if you can take this guy from all those paths to one straight road with a simple “How to” ….. then you’re one step ahead.

Everyone wants to know how to do something. Because if you tell them “How To” it implies that they’re going to be DOING it on their OWN…… which makes them think it’s “FREE”

The DIY industry was built on the concept of people learning “How to” do anything for themselves.

That is what learning does. It empowers people. So you need to learn “How to” empower others with your knowledge.

If you can show people and share with people How to do something that they want to learn they will be willing to pay you to show them.

Now that’s just too EASY

Yes it’s too easy! All you have to do is use these words in your custom build capture pages and you’ll get sales.

Well yes! that’s all you have to do.

Everyone wants things easy.

Yes we want things free and we want to learn but we also want to learn easily.

Human nature is that we don’t want to have to struggle too hard to get what we want. It’s a natural thing.

But both you and I know that anything worth having does NOT always come easily, but we still hope and pray and when someone does tell us that we can get what we want easy “enough”.

So if someone says you can easily build a blog in ten minutes, then you’re going to want to explore that option.

But if I tell you that it’s going to cost you this much to set up your own blog then you may have second thoughts and go for an easier option.

So What’s new?

You see that word Introducing!– Well this one speaks for itself in a way.

We always want what’s hot and new!

So if I but the word Introducing falls in front of anything it will evoke the response of, “Oh I want that NEW thing”. or “I want to know about that New thing!”

Again it’s just human nature and how we respond to certain things.

So your own marketing try implementing a few of these words in your copy.

I hope these have been helpful to you.

Can you think of any other words that will invoke people to buy. Share in the comments below.

Have a great one!
